HANNAH & JOHN
HANNAH & JOHN
OUR STORY
We met on our first day of college as eighteen-year-olds, fell madly in love and quickly became engaged. Well, maybe not quite so quickly…. from that first glance of attraction to this point of commitment
twelve years have passed! As they say, however, good things come to those who wait and we can’t wait to celebrate with you in Williamsburg (which - appropriately - has a long history of its own!)
WEDDING PARTY
THE CEREMONY
Bruton Parish Episcopal Church
201 West Duke of Gloucester Street
Williamsburg, Virginia 23185
Four o'clock in the afternoon
THE RECEPTION
Governor's Palace
300 Palace Green Street
Immediately following the ceremony
TRANSPORTATION
To the Ceremony
Bruton Parish Episcopal Church and the Governor’s Palace are both located within the historic district of Colonial Williamsburg, which is closed to all motor vehicles.
If you are not lodging within the historic area, complimentary parking will be offered to our guests at the Williamsburg Inn, located at 136 Francis Street East.
Horse drawn carriages will transport guests from the Williamsburg Inn to Bruton Parish beginning at 2:30 p.m., with the final round of carriages departing at 3:30 p.m.
Although you can easily walk to the church if your accommodations are within the historic district, you are most welcome to enjoy a carriage ride from the Inn.
To the Reception
The Colonial Williamsburg Fifes and Drums will escort guests from Bruton Parish to the Governor's Palace, a mere five-minute walk.
Following the Reception
A shuttle will take guests between the Governor’s Palace and the Williamsburg Inn between 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. You may, however, enjoy strolling the short distance as it may be thought “rather an amusement than a fatigue.”
